Sneaton Castle, North Yorkshire – Lucie & Jonathan

Lucie & Jonathan’s October wedding at Sneaton Castle, North Yorkshire unfolded in the most glorious autumn sunshine, creating the perfect setting for an elegant & classy celebration full of energy and joy.

Morning Prep at Sneaton Castle, North Yorkshire

A few weeks before the wedding, I met Lucie and Jonathan for a drink at Sneaton Castle to chat through their plans. Leaving that evening, I already knew their day was going to be something special and the wedding more than lived up to it.

From stepping into bridal prep with Lucie and her five bridesmaids, the atmosphere was electric. Matching robes, glasses full, music playing, singing, dancing, laughter and endless banter set the tone for the entire day.

That same energy carried through to Jonathan and his groomsmen and it never faded once. This was one of those weddings where the vibe was completely infectious from start to finish.

Ceremony in the Castle Chapel

Their ceremony in Sneaton Castle’s iconic chapel was nothing short of stunning. There is something incredibly special about witnessing two people surrounded by all their favourite people in such a meaningful space.

The bridesmaids and flower girls made a beautiful entrance down the aisle and when Lucie walked in with her dad there was not a dry eye in the room. Their handwritten vows created some of the most emotional moments of the day and it genuinely felt like it was just the two of them in the room.

Capturing this moment was a real privilege. Moments later they brought the energy right back with a joy filled dip kiss in the aisle to a room full of smiles.

Golden Autumn Portraits Around Sneaton Castle

October weddings in North Yorkshire can be unpredictable but Lucie and Jonathan struck gold. The whole day was bathed in soft golden autumn light giving everything a warm glow that made the castle grounds perfect for portraits and group photos.

Couple portraits were effortless. The combination of the stunning Sneaton Castle grounds, dreamy autumn sunshine, and the way Lucie and Jonathan simply embraced every moment made everything flow so naturally.

We also made a quick trip down to Whitby’s famous Whalebones with Whitby Abbey in the distance for a few extra portraits at one of the most iconic viewpoints in the area.
